First, and most important, Squarespace should bring the names of the templates back when using version 7.1, as it was easy to detect the names when using the previous version. It was very practical and helpful for everyone that was already working with Squarespace templates.
That being said, the following post will show you how to recognize the Squarespace template a website is using by following these steps depending on what you really need.
For example, if you only need to know the source of the template such as Squarespace, Shopify, or WordPress you only need to go to the website press right click and select view page source.
As its name says, it will show you the source of the website your template was created.
Now if you want to know which Squarespace Template your website is using, you do the same process, however, once you are in there you press CRTL+F and write “templateid”
This will show you the code of the template, from there you can try to google it. There is a great post that ,Silvabokis made which has many codes with their names.
You can check it to start.
In my particular case I was looking for the code: "5c5a519771c10ba3470d8101" I did not find it on the list. So relying on my memory and after going back to Squarespace, I was able to find it. The name is Bergen.
The process?
I went back to Squarespace like I was creating a new website. Once I was there I followed the first steps.
I felt like I was matching games from Mario Bros.
Anyway, I had some help from what I thought was the idea of the template. I hope this code can help when using the 7.1 version as needed.
Bergen: : "5c5a519771c10ba3470d8101 (Squarespace 7.1)
So, as I stated in the beginning, Squarespace seriously needs to put the names of the templates back.
